Instructors: Use Respondus LockDown Browser in Bb Original Courses

Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom web browser (compatible with Mac and Windows) that locks down the testing environment within Blackboard. When students use Respondus LockDown Browser, they are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications. When an assessment is started, students are locked into it until they submit it for grading.

IMPORTANT: If you are looking for information about the Respondus Exam Authoring Tool, which is used to import exams from a text file into Bb, please see the following articles: installation and set-up and user guide. Respondus LockDown Browser does not require use of Respondus Exam Authoring Tool. The software is produced by the same company, but either tool may be used independently.
