YuJa is a video platform that allows users to host video content and record video lectures that can be used as part of curriculum deployment.
IMPORTANT: Faculty must log in to Yuja using the link in their Blackboard course first — this will create your YuJa account with the appropriate permissions and storage for your instructor role. After that, you can sign in to the YuJa site directly, or navigate to it through Blackboard.
Inside Any Blackboard Course
When you click a YuJa link inside of your Blackboard course, you will be logged in automatically. YuJa is accessible from several places in your course — please follow the instructions below for either Blackboard Original or Blackboard Ultra courses.
Blackboard Original
- Access YuJa from the course menu (video demonstration)
- Add a Tool Link in your course menu and select UND YuJa.
- Click on the Tool link to pass you through to YuJa
- Access YuJa from any content area (video demonstration)
- Go into any Content Area in the course
- In the menu at the top of the page, select 'Build Content' > from the drop-down menu, under 'Create', select 'Item'
- In the Text Box Editor, select the drop down next to Mashups and choose the YuJa Media Chooser option
Blackboard Ultra
- Access YuJa from the Books & Tools menu (video demonstration)
- In the 'Details & Actions' menu (on the right edge of the page), click on 'Books & Tools'
- Select 'UND YuJa'
- Click on the new link to view your course's YuJa course channel.
- Access YuJa from the '+' Add New menu (video demonstration)
- Click the purple '+' menu and select 'Content Market'.
- Scroll down and select 'UND YuJa CIM Tool'
- Select the desired video, then click 'Insert Content' (in the bottom-right corner).
- The video will appear as a clickable link, which will open video playback in a new Blackboard tab.
- Access from inside of a Document - Add Content menu (video demonstration)
- Click the purple '+' menu and select 'Create'.
- Select 'Document' - this will open the document editor.
- In the top menu of the document editor, click 'Content'.
- In the next top menu, click '+ Insert Content', and from the drop-down, select 'Content Market'.
- Scroll down and select 'UND YuJa CIM Tool'.
- Select the desired video, then click 'Insert Content' (in the bottom-right corner).
- Re-name (if desired', and click 'Insert'.
- Finishing editing the document: You may change the name, add a description or other text, etc.
- Click 'Save' in the top-right.
- You may close the document editor tab.
- The new document will appear as a clickable link, which will open the document you just created in a new Blackboard tab. The video may be viewed within the document's tab.
Outside of the Blackboard System
- Go to https://und.yuja.com/ and click the Login button in the upper right corner of the page.
- Sign in with your NDUS.identifier (example – jane.doe).
