The process to add a YuJa video to Blackboard depends on the course type: Original or Ultra. Please see the section corresponding with your course for more information.
Blackboard Ultra Courses
After your video has been created, you will need to deploy it to your Blackboard course. There are two options for deploying your recording. Please follow the instructions below for the option that best fits your teaching style.
Stand-alone Video - This method will allow you to add a link to the video to any course content page. It may be added as a top-level item, or you can expand one of your course Modules (folders) and add the video there. Either way, students can click the link view the video in a new tab. Then, when they are finished, they may close that tab to return to the same place in your course.
Embedded Video - If you would like you video to appear and be playable inside of a Blackboard document, like an assignment or announcement, you may embed it using the text editor. This will allow the video to appear inside of the document's text, where students can play it without leaving the page.
Add a Stand-Alone Video
To add a stand-alone YuJa video link to any content area in your Blackboard Ultra course:
- Log in to Blackboard, then open the Bb Ultra course where you would like to add the YuJa video link.
- On the Course Content page (or inside of any folder/module), hover over the list of items. A purple line and plus '+' icon should appear between them. Click on the '+' purple plus '+' icon, then from its drop-down menu, select Content Market.
- On the Content Market page, scroll down, then click UND YuJa CIM Tool — do not use the regular 'UND YuJa' tool.
- On the YuJa page, locate the desired video and click on it to select it; a blue box will appear around the video. Then, using the outermost scrollbar, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Insert Content button.
- A success message will appear to confirm that the video has been inserted, and you will be automatically redirected back to your course page. The video will appear at the top of your course content — now you can click and drag it to any area of your course.
- Students can click on the link to open and play the video in a new tab without leaving your Blackboard course site. When the video is complete, they may click the 'x' in the top-left to return to your course.

Add an Embedded Video
To add a YuJa video inside of an existing item (like an assignment, test, document, or announcement) in your Blackboard Ultra course:
- Log in to Blackboard, open your course, and locate the item where you would like to add the video. Click the ... (Edit) button to open the item's editor. Your video can be added to any area where you find a text editing tool.
- In the item's editor, locate a text editor box. They are available in item's descriptions, test questions, etc. Within the existing text, click on any empty space to place your cursor — this is where the video will be added. In the toolbar at the top of the text box, click the + (Insert content) button. From that drop-down menu, select Content Market.

- You will be re-directed back to the text editor page. A pop-up window will appear where you can enter a name for the video.
- The video's thumbnail will appear in the text editor box. You can click the play icon to play/preview it.
- Now, you can add any additional text or videos. Depending on the item type, you may need to save or submit before returning to your course (for test questions), or you can simply 'x' out of the window.
- Now, the video will appear within the item. Because the video player is embedded, students may view it without leaving the test/document/announcement/etc.
