Allow Students to Publish to Your Course Channel in YuJa

What are YuJa Course Channels?

On the YuJa video platform, course channels are pages that are automatically created when an instructor connects YuJa withweb their Blackboard course. These spaces serve as a platform for sharing media and recordings with students in a specific course. They are designed for group-level interaction and active participation. By default, student submissions are disabled — Students will need to be given permission by their instructor to publish content on a channel. This can be done by editing the settings for the course channel.

Allow Students to Publish to Course Channels

This YuJa support article includes steps for instructors to update the settings of their YuJa course.  Instructors must click on the "UND YuJa" tool link in your Blackboard course at least one time to add the course to their YuJa profile. Once the student publishing setting has been updated to 'allow' (either with or without approval), students will see that course as an option in the various publishing menus. Students must also access YuJa through your course at least once; this will associate the course with their account, so it will appear in their list of available course channels.
