Allowing Students to Publish to a Course Channel in YuJa

Summary

Instructors can set permissions to allow students to publish to a specific course in YuJa.

Body

What are YuJa Course Channels?

On the YuJa video platform, course channels are automatically created when an instructor connects YuJa to their Blackboard course. These spaces serve as a platform for sharing media and recordings with students in a specific course. They are designed for group-level interaction and active participation. By default, student submissions are disabled — Students will need to be given permission by their instructor to publish content on a channel. This can be done by editing the settings for the course channel.

Allow Students to Publish to Course Channels

This YuJa support article includes steps for instructors to update the settings of their YuJa course.  You will need to click on the "UND YuJa" tool in your Blackboard course at least once to list the course on your YuJa profile. Once the student publishing setting has been updated to allow for publishing (either with or without approval), students will see that course in the various publishing menus.
