Switch accounts / Sign in using your UND Zoom account

All Zoom accounts for faculty, staff, and students at UND are automatically created with the Pro-level license. To have the best experience when using Zoom for classes and meetings, you will need to sign in to your UND Zoom account using the SSO (single sign on) option. All other sign in options (Google, Facebook, or email) will only give you access to a free, basic Zoom account that is not associated with UND. Using a basic Zoom account to participate in UND classes or meetings may cause issues, such as time-outs and failure to appear in attendance reports.

To sign out of your personal/free Zoom account, and in to your pro-level UND account, please see the instructions below. Click a link to jump to the correct section:

Zoom Website (Windows & Mac)

  1. Open the Zoom website.

  4. This will open UND's Zoom signin page in your browser. For the username, input your firstname.lastname only. Use the same password as your email/Blackboard, and click Sign in.Screenshot of the NDUS SSO page. A username and password have been entered into the login fields.
  5. You are now signed in with your Pro Zoom account.

 

Zoom Desktop Application (Windows & Mac)

  1. Open the Zoom desktop application.
  2. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner — in the drop-down menu, select Sign Out.
  3.   4. This will open UND's Zoom sign in page in your browser. Input your firstname.lastname and the same password as your email and Blackboard, and click Sign in.

  5. Click Sign In.
  6. A pop-up will appear; click 'Open zoom.us app' to return to the application, signed in with your Pro Zoom account.

 

Zoom Mobile App (Android & iOS)

  1. Open the Zoom app.
  2. In the bottom-right corner, tap More (...).

  7. Zoom will open the Single Sign On page in your browser. Tap Sign in.

    Note: If the website fails to load, please return to the Zoom app and confirm that the URL shown below is being used. The first field should only include 'und', and the drop-down menu to its right should say '.zoom.us'.

  8. On the next page, log in with just your firstname.lastname username, and the same password as your email and Blackboard.

  9. After signing in, click Open to return to the Zoom app.

  10. You should now be signed in with your Pro account. To confirm, use the More (...) menu, and look for the 'LICENSED' tag to the right of your name.

Zoom is a cloud-based videoconferencing and collaboration platform. With Zoom you have the flexibility to create virtual classrooms and invite students to join from their desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
