Important Update: UND SELFI is now powered by Watermark Course Evaluations. This change affects how students and instructors access the survey and results: students may access SELFI from their email or from Blackboard -but- instructors can only access it from their email. SELFI will no longer be accessible to instructors from Blackboard.
SELFI Faculty Evaluations
Students are an important source of information about the effectiveness of a course and instructor. The SELFI survey (with 24 core questions and 3 optional, personalized questions) is a way that students can provide constructive feedback to UND instructors. Higher student response rates produce more reliable data, so instructors should encourage their students to complete the SELFI for their courses. These survey results are used by faculty to make improvements to their own courses, and by departments in faculty performance evaluations and in tenure/promotion decisions.
Students
- Blackboard - Log in to Blackboard (blackboard.und.edu) or access a course with an active survey > a "Go to Survey" pop-up will appear > click to access SELFI to complete the survey.
- Email - Check your UND email inbox for a message from/about/title [date, sample (for security?), sender?] containing the link to complete your SELFI. This message [or messages - multiple/reminders/one or more per class?] will contain a direct link to [SELFI/this specific course's SELFI/to continue/etc.?]
Instructors
- Instructors will receive an email from Watermark with direct links to launch the instructor tasks and view response-rate reports.
- Any prior UND SELFI links in Blackboard will no longer work and can be removed.
