The North Dakota University System contracts with Microsoft to provide email, cloud storage, productivity apps, and collaboration tools to all member institutions, including UND. The service and account is referred to as Microsoft 365. Sometimes also known as Office, Office 365, Outlook, Microsoft.
Notice! This account is only offered to current UND students, faculty, and staff, and is NOT PERMANENT. Student access is retained for 18 months post graduation or withdrawal, then the account is queued for erasure. Faculty and staff access is revoked immediately upon the end of employment with UND.
- Visit microsoft365.com
- Sign in with your user.name@ndus.edu. You will receive an error if you try to enter your user.name@und.edu. All members of the North Dakota University System use @ndus.edu to access the Microsoft 365 account associated with their specific institution. See this article for more help with your NDUS username & password.
- On the North Dakota University System page, provide the password you created when you claimed your NDUS account. It will be the same password used for Campus Connection and Blackboard.
- You may be prompted to authenticate with Duo 2FA.
- The Microsoft 365 Home page is the central hub for everything available with your account, including the following;
- The icon in the upper right with your initials or profile photo is used to manage your account settings.
- Click the Install apps dropdown to download the installers for full desktop versions of Microsoft 365 apps, including Outlook, OneDrive for Business, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more.
- Access all the online apps and services available through Microsoft 365 by clicking the waffle icon at the top-left.
- Access your commonly used apps, like Outlook and Word from the column on the left.
- As you use your MIcrosoft 365 account, your recent and shared documents will appear on this page for quick access.
