Note! Former student, faculty, staff,
and some current faculty and staff accounts do not have the option to install Microsoft 365 apps on personal computers. All accounts will still have access to Microsoft on the web.

As a member of The University of North Dakota, your Microsoft 365 account lets you install Microsoft's productivity apps to your personal computer. This includes Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, OneDrive, Access*, and Publisher*. It's available for Mac & Windows computers.
*Access & Publisher applications only available for PC.
- Log in to your Microsoft 365 homepage with your user.name@ndus.edu credentials at https://login.microsoftonline.com/.

- Near the top-left of the page, click the "waffle" app menu icon (1), then the More apps tile (2).

- At the top-right of the page, click the Install apps button (1), then the Microsoft 365 apps tile (2).

- On the My account page, click the button labeled Install Office in the Office apps & devices tile.
Info! If you have a license for other apps like Visio, they will be available in the View apps & devices section.
- The installer will download to your browser's Downloads folder.

- Once the download is complete, open the downloaded installer file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.
- When asked to sign in, use your user.name@ndus.edu credentials to activate your Microsoft 365 license on that computer.
