Install Microsoft Office 365 Apps

Warning! Previously, all Office 365 licenses included an option to install Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) on your home computer.  As of May 2024, this feature is no longer available for former student, staff, and faculty accounts, and some current staff and faculty accounts.  All accounts will still have access to Office on the web. As a member of The University of North Dakota, your Office 365 account lets you install your favorite Office programs onto your personal computer. Office 365 installation includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access*, Publisher*, Outlook, and OneDrive for Business on your desktop. Its compatible with both Mac & Windows PC.

Log into your Microsoft 365 homepage at: https://login.microsoftonline.com/.log into this system with user.name@ndus.edu


Click Install and more in the top right.

Find the Install Office app in the top-right of the apps menu.

Then select Install Microsoft 365 apps.

Your download will begin and you will be prompted with instructions.

Follow the on-screen prompts and when you are asked to sign in, use your user.name@NDUS.edu.
