Creating and Sharing a Link to a Meeting

Tags TEAMS meeting

The process outlined can be used to share a Teams meeting link with others. These methods of link sharing may also be suitable for remote office hours as it allows a single meeting link to be used for several office hour time slots.

  1. Select Calendar in Teams.

  2. Select New meeting.

  3. Add meeting details and attendees. Set the "Teams meeting" slider to on. To invite someone outside your org, type their full email address (ex: Joe@example.com). Everyone in the team you scheduled the meeting for will receive a personal invite.

  4. Select Send.

  5. Double-click the newly created meeting in your calendar. Right-click "Join the meeting now" and copy the link to share.

Info! People with whom you share a Teams meeting link will not see an entry on their calendar. Only people who have specifically been invited to a meeting will see a calendar entry.
