Export Exams from the Respondus Exam Authoring Tool to Word

Respondus Exam Authoring allows the retrieval of exams, surveys, and question pools from a Blackboard course that can then be saved as a Microsoft Word file. Below are the instructions on how to do this.

1. Open Respondus.
   1. This can be used to make a publisher’s test bank, import it into Blackboard, and then back to Word to allow for feedback or editing.
2. Open the Retrieval & Reports tab.
3. Click Retrieve Questions.
4. Choose the course and exam to retrieve from.
5. Enter a name for the new file and select the Next button to retrieve from Blackboard.
6. Select OK to close the File Saved window and select Finished.
7. Now, choose the Preview & Publish tab.
8. Select Print Options.
9. Choose Select Format: Exam with Answer Key (for this answer format: *a. correct answer.)
   1. Change any other settings as needed.
10. Click Save to File.
11. Choose a file name and save the file.
