How can the IT Service Portal help me?

The IT Service Portal has many tools to help you get the information and help you need quickly and easily. You can Search for Answers to view over 500 Knowledge Base articles for DIY help, Chat with Us to start a live chat with UND Tech Support, Submit a Help Request and have us contact you for help, or browse the Service Catalog to find information on the specific service you need.

Some services require you to sign in with your NDUS account username and password. Guests, proctors, preceptors, potential students, parents of students, university affiliates, and alumni without a NDUS account can still Search for Answers, Submit Help Requests, and browse the Service Catalog but may have reduced functionality.

Sign In to the IT Service Portal

To receive full services, UND students, faculty, and staff should Sign In to the IT Service Portal with your NDUS account username and password.

Search for Answers

Simply type what you are looking for into the search bar to view all the services and knowledge articles containing your search term. As our Knowledge Base continues to grow, more search results will become available.

Chat with Us

Click the Chat with Us button to connect with UND Tech Support in a live chat. Our chat uses your browser as a messaging system and if needed, lets us start a screen share to better troubleshoot and assist with your issues. This feature is only available during UND Tech Support Hours.

Submit a Help Request

How do I submit a Help Request?

  1. From the IT Service Portal homepage, you can click Submit a Help Request and then Request Service.

  2. Or, click Request Service from within any service located in the Service Catalog.

  1. Fill out the form fields to the best of your ability. *Some fields are required.

  2. Complete the Verification Code and click the Request button.

  1. You will receive a confirmation message with options to continue.

  1. You will also receive an email confirmation of your Request.

How do I comment or reply on a Help Request?

Email

You can comment or reply to your Help Request by clicking one of the links found at the bottom on the Help Request email or by just replying to the email.

IT Service Portal

  1. Sign In to the IT Service Portal with your NDUS account username and password.
  2. From the top navigation, select Services and then Ticket Requests.

  1. You will see a list of all of your IT Service Help Requests. Click the Title view more details, comment, add attachments, etc.

How do I see the status of my Help Requests?

Service Catalog

Browse all the services UIT provides in the Service Catalog broken down by categories for more specific information or request types. Click Service Catalog to begin browsing all UIT has to offer.
