Email and Calendaring

Students, faculty, and staff at UND use the Microsoft Office 365 email system provided by the North Dakota University System (NDUS).

Network and Wireless Services

UND's network provides secure access to the internet and administrative systems. Students, faculty, and staff can connect to the network while on campus or off campus. Wireless networks are available to UND faculty, staff, students, their sponsored guests, and members of the eduroam federation.

Software and Application Support

Get help with software and applications such as document imaging and management, student and faculty information systems, finance, human resources and procurement systems, library systems, and software installation, troubleshooting and support.

Computer, Device, and Printers Support

Request support for your computers and devices, uPrint issues and desktop services. Get help with 3D printing, computer labs, or check out equipment.

File Sharing and Collaborative Tools

UND offers multiple online collaboration and meetings tools that allow users to see, hear, and interact with one another in real-time.

File Storage and Servers

UND uses Microsoft Office 365 for university email, which also includes calendaring and storage options. Additionally, there are alternative storage choices available, like Dropbox for Business and U-Drive.

Teaching and Learning

UND offers a wide range of technologies for teaching and learning to meet the needs of faculty, staff, and students. The Instructional Design and Digital Learning office helps to connect faculty with the appropriate technology tools to promote collaboration, enhance communication, and share knowledge for both online and traditional instruction.

Classroom Support

Makes instructional technology in the classroom as convenient and reliable as possible. Manage all general purpose classrooms on campus and provide training to instructors who utilize them.

Phones, Voicemail, and Videoconferencing

UIT's Telecommunications team manages desk and cell phone support for university faculty and staff, including voicemail.

Professional Services

UIT also offers a host of other professional services like technical support for events, project requests, photography, graphic design and digital signage, webinar hosting and document shredding.

Assistive Technologies

Assistive technology is used to describe devices and services that lessen or remove barriers faced by persons with disabilities. Many types of assistive technology are available on computers to assist in reading information, keyboarding, etc.

Each semester students should work with DSS to identify specific accommodations based on current academic courses and update a DSS verification document and contact professors to finalize arrangements for those accommodations.

Purchasing and Procurement

UIT has software available to UND affiliates for discounted rates, or in some cases, free. UIT can also facilitate the purchase of college or campus wide hardware and software solutions.
