M365 Cannot Edit on MacOS - Error 0x0

The following article will help you fix Sign-in Error 0x0 or inability to edit MS365 Apps on Mac.

 



Prerequisite

  • macOS 14.0 or later - How to update Here
  • Run App Store updates


Instructions Part One

  1. Quit all Office 365 applications.
  2. Uninstall Office 365 applications. This can be done by dragging the icons from the Launcher into the Trash Bin.
  3. Restart the Mac.
  4. Run the License Removal Tool and follow the instructions.
  5. Restart the Mac

Instructions Part Two

  1. Go to: http://portal.office.com and log in with your NDUS credentials. (Article - Install Microsoft 365 Apps)
  2. Find the 9-dot grid in the upper-left-hand corner.

  3. Click on "More Apps" in the menu that appears.

  4. Click "Install Apps" in the upper-right-hand corner and click on "Microsoft 365 apps".

  5. In the new tab that opens, click on "Install Office" follow the on screen instructions.

  6. Restart the Mac.
