Blocking Robocalls

Note: This proccess will filter out most robocalls not all.

Managing blocked calls as a User

  1. Sign in to the Web Management Portal

  2. Click Admin Portal at the top right, then select My Extension.

  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click the Phone dropdown.
  5. Click Blocked calls.

  1. In the Blocked calls popup, click the Block option dropdown, then select one of these options:
  • Specific calls and faxes: All calls and faxes will reach you, except for the ones you want to block.

    • Only block these numbers or area codes: Enter a number or area code that you want to block. Click Add to enter additional numbers or area codes.

    • To block all calls from a specific country, enter the plus sign (+) followed by that country code. 

  • All calls: Block calls from all numbers, except for specific numbers you allow.

    • Allowed numbers and area codes: Enter the numbers or area codes that you want to allow.

    • To allow all calls from a specific country, enter the plus sign (+) followed by that country code. 

  1. Under Callers will hear, click Edit. In the Callers will Hear popup, choose the language and message that blocked callers will hear. Click Done.

  1. In the Robocalls section, click the Block option dropdown.

Note: This setting will only appear for the system mailbox extension (default: 101), and if you’ve selected Specific calls and faxes in step 6.

  • Ring devices and apps: Robocalls will ring your devices and apps.
    • Trusted numbers: Add trusted phone numbers to the list so they aren’t treated as robocalls.

  • Play message and disconnect: When a robocall comes in, an announcement will play, then the call will disconnect.

    • Callers will hear: Click the Play button to hear the message that will play when a robocall comes in.

  1. In the Block calls with no caller ID section, click the Block option dropdown, then select how you want to handle calls from numbers that don’t have caller ID.
  • None: All incoming calls and faxes that don’t have caller ID will reach your number.

  • Calls and faxes: All incoming calls and faxes that don’t have caller ID will be blocked.

    • Click Edit under Callers will hear to change the message that these callers will hear. In the Callers will Hear popup, choose the language and message. Click Done.
  • Faxes: All faxes from numbers without caller ID will be blocked.

    • Click Edit under Callers will hear to change the message that these callers will hear. In the Callers will Hear popup, choose the language and message. Click Done.
  1.  In the Block calls from pay phones section, check the Enable block calls from pay phones box to block calls from pay phones. Click Edit to choose the message that pay phone callers will hear.

 

  1. Click Save.
