Parking a call lets you place a call on hold, and another team member picks it up from a different location. Select where you want to park and retrieve calls:
Desktop
Parking calls
- While on a live call, click the More button on the dialpad.
- Select Park.
- Note the location number, including the asterisk, in the banner at the top of the app. You’ll need it to retrieve the call.
- To share the location of the parked call, use one of the following icons:
- Click the Message icon to share the call location with one or more team members using the RingCentral app.
- Click the Text icon to share the call location with one or more team members by text message.
Retrieving Parked Calls
- Open the dialpad by doing either of the following:
- Click the Dialpad icon at the top right of the app.
- In the left navigation bar, click Phone > Make a call
- Enter the location number into the dialpad. Make sure to include the asterisk.
- Pick up the call by clicking one of the following, depending on which screen you see:
- The arrow icon to the right of the number
- The Phone icon at the bottom of the dialpad

- While on a live call, tap the More button on the dialpad.
- Select Park.

Select whether you want to share the parked call location with team members:
- Tap Yes to share the location of the parked call with a paging-only group. On the next screen, select your desired paging-only group. This will place a RingCentral call to the group, which any member can pick up.
- Tap No to simply close the popup window.
Note: Either way, your call will remain parked until picked up.
Retrieving Parked calls
- In the bottom menu bar, tap Phone to open the dialpad.
- In the bottom menu bar, tap Phone to open the dialpad.
- Click the Phone icon at the bottom of the dialpad to pick up the call.
