UIT has software available to UND affiliates for discounted rates, or in some cases, free. UIT can also facilitate the purchase of college or campus wide hardware and software solutions.

Home Use Software for UND employees

UND employees are eligible to participate in Microsoft's Software Assurance Home Use Program (HUP). This program enables UND employees to get a licensed copy of the current Microsoft® Office applications to install and use on your home computer.

How do I order software for a UND-owned computer?

Software for use on UND-owned machines can be purchased for UND staff, faculty, and administrators through your Department Software Coordinator.

A list if licenses that are purchased on an annually renewable and non-prorated license and their annual active dates.

Non-Standard Software & Services

Starting July 1, 2017, requesting Non-Standard Software, Services, and Hardware will follow a new process below.  The new process will require a request to be validated by University information technology staff before software and services can goto RFP, Bid, or Sole Source.  Filling out the new form should eliminate the need to fill out yearly forms for renewal and will have expiration date set for the contract period for the requested software or service.

Software Terms and Conditions

All employees shall use software only in accordance with the license agreement. Any other duplication of licensed software except for backup and archival purposes is a violation of the law.
