UND Laptops for Learning

The University recognizes that students need reliable technology for academic success, especially during a global pandemic when learning can switch from on site to online overnight. The UND Laptops for Learning program supports students by providing a limited number of laptops to those who qualify and who have financial need.

The UND Laptops for Learning program is made possible from a grant provided through the Federal CARES Act. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act was passed by Congress and signed into law to provide economic relief from COVID-19.

Service Desk

The Service Desk provides campus with a walk-in location for all technology needs, including device service, equipment check out, and Makerspace 3D printing. They are located on the first floor of the Chester Fritz Library.

UIT provides print management solutions including the campus wide student printing service uPrint. Students are credited $8.00 at the beginning of every semester for printing purposes.

Maker Space Services (3D printing)

The Maker Space services such as 3D Printing are available to all UND students, faculty and staff with a valid U Card. The lab is located in the Chester Fritz Library, Room 133. Any student, faculty, or staff member on campus can use the lab’s three printers by submitting a design.
