How do I get to my course in Blackboard?

Summary

These step-by-step instructions will show you how to locate and open your course's Blackboard site.

Body

All courses at UND have a corresponding course site on Blackboard, our LMS (learning management system). Blackboard is accessible to all students, t.account users, and PPD participants. Blackboard course sites can be used to administer classes online, but they may also be used to share content for in-person classes. You can find the syllabus, instructor contact information, readings, assignments, tests, and more inside of each course site. To locate your course in Blackboard, please follow these steps:

  1. Once you have received your username and password, open UND's specific Blackboard login page. Make sure that the address is blackboard.UND.edu and -not- blackboard.NDUS.edu or any other institution's Blackboard URL. You may be prompted to allow cookies – select OK to proceed. Click the My Bb Login button to open the NDUS Portal Log In page.

  2. On the NDUS Portal Log In page, enter your t.account username and password and click Log In to proceed.

  3. This will open UND's Blackboard instance with the updated Ultra Base Navigation (UBN) home page. When you first log in, you will see Blackboard's top level page, where you can access everything related to your account using the menu on the left. To open a specific course site, click Courses, then select the desired course from your course list. If you don't see your course, use the dropdown menus at the top of the Courses page to sort and view different course categories – sometimes you may be enrolled in a course, but it is listed under a different semester. If you don't see the course under any of the menus/categories here, log in to Campus Connection and confirm that you are fully enrolled in the course there first – this information will be automatically pushed to Blackboard, but it may take some time to update your Course page.
