Duo Mobile is an app for smartphones and tablets that receives easy-to-use push notifications and generates passcodes for Duo-protected logins. It can generate passcodes without cellular or Wi-Fi service, making it useful when traveling. Section One: From a computer Visit 2fa.ndus.edu. Log in with your usual user.name credentials and verify with whichever Duo authentication method you already have set up. Select the Add a device box on the Duo Device Management page. Select the Duo Mobile option from the list. Enter your smartphone’s phone number and click Continue Info! If your smartphone doesn’t have cellular service, or you’re using Duo Mobile on a tablet device, select I have a tablet. If you entered a phone number, verify it and select Yes, it’s correct. If you selected I have a tablet in the previous step, select Next to display a QR code and move on to Section Two of this page. Confirm you have access to the number entered by selecting Send me a passcode or Or call my phone. Select Next to display a QR code. Section Two: From your mobile device (smartphone or tablet) Download the Duo Mobile app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Launch Duo Mobile. Select Use QR Code and capture the code from the computer screen with your mobile device’s camera. Or select Get an activation link instead to have a link emailed to your device. Once complete, you should see a page titled Added Duo Mobile. Select Continue. Name the account or leave it as is and select Save. Setup is now complete and you can use the Send me a push option when logging in to a Duo-protected service or site. You can also select the account name in Duo Mobile to reveal a one-time-use passcode. The passcode feature will work even when the phone has no cellular or Wi-Fi signal. END
