Getting Started in OmniUpdate Campus

UND uses OmniUpdate Campus as its content management system (CMS). A CMS allows UND to manage its web content in one central location in templates that provide a consistent look and user experience across all sites.

OmniUpdate was chosen to be the CMS for the University in 2010 based on significant campus input and extensive research.

  • OmniUpdate Campus was designed specifically for higher education.
  • Using OmniUpdate Campus does not require FTP or HTML knowledge, or any special software. Its editor is much like Microsoft Word.
  • Editing is done with a Web browser - meaning you can update your site anywhere, anytime as long as you have an Internet connection.

Since the launch of OmniUpdate Campus in 2011, UND's 800 content developers have created more than 30,000 pages for

OmniUpdate Campus is maintained by the UND Web Team with members from Division of Marketing & Communications and University Information Technology.
