Summary
In Blackboard, every gradable item has a corresponding column in the Grade Center. To delete columns, the matching items must also be deleted. Alternatively, instructors can temporarily hide columns from themselves (in the Full Grade Center) and/or from students (in My Grades). Please follow these steps to change column visibility.
Body
Instructors may change which columns are visible to themselves in the Full Grade Center and/or to students in My Grades. These are separate functions; a column may be hidden from students only — or from students and instructors. To show or hide a column, please follow these steps:
- Log in to Blackboard, and navigate to the desired course. rom the course menu on the left/bottom, open the Full Grade Center.
- In the menu at the top of the page, click Manage. From its drop-down menu, select Column Organization.
- On the Column Organization page, check the boxes to the left of the columns that you would like to change, then use the menu at the top of the page to Show/Hide. Note: You may also use the menus on this page to change items' categories or re-arrange them, so they appear in a different order in the in the Full Grade Center and in My Grades
- In the bottom-right, click Submit to save your changes and return to the Full Grade Center page.
