Blackboard Gradebook Update - Summer 2026

Update Overview

Blackboard's newest update to the Gradebook view now gives instructors a reorganized and more streamlined layout for managing grading tasks.

Changes to Views

Instructors will now only have two view options in the Gradebook: Grid view and List view. The Overview tab and the Students tab are now combined into the Grid View. List view will remain unchanged.

Changes to the Grid View include:

• Layout and navigation
• Grading workflow
• Posting of grades
• Exemptions and Exceptions grouped with Accommodations
