UND Employee Email Forwarding
To enhance security, confidentiality, and the proper management of University email communications, employees (including student employees) and affiliates are strictly prohibited from creating automatic forwarding rules or mechanisms that send emails received at a University email account to any external email addresses (personal or otherwise). This includes, but is not limited to, forwarding rules set up within the email client or through third-party applications.
When manually forwarding emails for business purposes that contain confidential information, employees and affiliates must use a secure email system managed by the University.
An exception to this rule is for EERC addresses. (@undeerc.org)
Students not employed by the University may implement automatic forwarding for their email accounts.
Forwarding will be turned off starting August 1, 2025.
