How to fix a known issue with Simple Syllabus: instructors are added to syllabi automatically, but are not removed automatically, even after they have been removed in Campus Connection and Blackboard. This article FOR INSTRUCTORS explains how to hide or remove extra instructors.

Known issue: Instructors are automatically added to courses in Simple Syllabus, but they are not automatically removed. This means that instructors who were previously listed for courses may not be removed from syllabi in Simple Syllabus, even after they have been removed from the course in Blackboard and Campus Connection. These instructors may retain edit access to the syllabus, even though a new instructor has been assigned to that class. The new instructor has two options:
- Option 1: Log in to Simple Syllabus, enter edit mode for the desired syllabus, click the pencil icon to the left of the other instructor’s profile information, then click the Hide button below to remove the instructor from view. Note: This will allow you to publish your syllabus without the previous instructor's contact information, but it does not remove the syllabus from the previous instructor’s profile.
- Option 2: To completely remove the former instructor's edit access for the syllabus, please reach out to the Academic Technology group at blackboard@und.edu with the following information:
- Course name and number
- Semester
- Name of the instructor to be removed
