Some UND-issued Windows laptops might require a GlobalProtect VPN connection before Windows fully loads. Users may see a domain connectivity error indicating the need for a VPN connection. Follow the steps below to connect to the VPN before signing in to Windows.
- Click the globe icon in the lower-right of the screen.

- From the available WiFi networks, select your home WiFi network name. When prompted, enter the proper credentials.
- Once WiFi is connected, click the "two-monitor" icon. If the icon is missing, please submit a quick ticket.

- In the window with the North Dakota University System logo, enter your usual user.name and password credentials. In the next window, verify with Duo.
- Once you see the "connected" message under the GlobalProtect icon, click Back

- Type your usual user.name and password credentials in the appropriate fields
