Using Templates

Templates can be created for the body of an article. This is very helpful for article consistency and ease of creation. A great example of template usage can be found at the very bottom of this article, where you see the UIT contact information. 

Info! UIT utilizes several templates to accomplish different ends. UIT uses one to add the Contact Us section at the bottom of all public articles. We use a different one to distinguish internal UIT articles. Some other templates help us do things like add these info boxes or navigation tabs and buttons. 

Create or Edit a Template

Warning! Users will need to have an administrator role to create and edit Templates.
  1. Select Templates from the top navigation.

  1. Either click on a template name or select + New Template to open the WYSIWYG editor.

  1. Create or edit the same as you would an article and click Save when done.

Use a Template

Warning! Use only 1 template at a time and apply the template before adding other content to the article.
  1. Select Templates from the top navigation.
  2. When creating or editing an article, click the Templates drop down and select your template to apply.
